Jacobo Ramos is a talented communicator and a relevant voice for these times. With the natural transparency and creativity that distinguish him, he inspires us to trust in the inalterable truth of God. Whether in his facet of pastor, composer, performer, librettist, producer or writer, he has a fun, refreshing way to convey a message that transcends ages: There is still hope left. His music and message go straight to the heart with pertinent and current themes that restore hearts and relationships in all levels. Jacobo was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, and is the second son of the pastors Elliot and Dwina Ramos. Along with his siblings Elliot Hiram and Loida, he learned from his parents how faith can cause social and familiar restoration. His parents are an example of that.

His greatest treasure and his most favorite audience are his wife Raquel and his two beautiful daughters Hosanna and Paloma Mia. Together they have founded Equipo AiRE; a company dedicated to the production of material for the purpose of restoring and refreshing tired hearts.

His creative and musical influences seem to have been taken from two distant points, both very significant in his life. From his mother's side of the family he received a legacy of an extensive career in the circus. His maternal grandfather was a descendant of Romanians and heir to the Hermanos Marco Circus, where he performed as a master of ceremonies, comedian and trumpeter in presentations. On the other side, his paternal grandfather was a singer of autochthonous Puerto Rican music, which is rich in rhythm and beats. Besides, he was raised within the church as a pastor's son. The sum of these influences results in a dynamic, passionate and unforgettable experience for anyone who watches his presentations.

In 2004, he introduced the first production called Aire, a record album with a very fresh sound, catchy and captivating. In a very particular way each composition seems to have the capability to awake us to the fact that there is a possibility beyond any difficulty we might be experiencing. Such is the passion of Jacobo.

Braid de In this CD there are notable songs like the contagious Tu Pueblo Dice Gracias ("Your People Says Thanks"), the inspiring Tu Misericordia ("Your Mercy") and A Pesar de la Lluvia ("Despite the Rain"). It is worth mentioning that this album quickly became very popular among people and media, both in Puerto Rico, his native country, and in the United States as well as several Latin American countries. The track Tu Pueblo Dice Gracias was honored in Mexico with a Harp Award nomination for Best Song of the Year.

In mid-2007 Jacobo presents his second production Bueno, under the label Integrity Music Latin. This album features songs by Jacobo and other psalmists from Christian Ministry Catacomb #5; the church that has sheltered him and where he serves as a Pastor.

On this one, Jacobo shares with us deep from the heart experiences through songs like Quedate ("Stay") and Los que Esperan ("Those who wait"). Bueno is a compilation of songs full of hope for difficult times. In 2008 this project was nominated for Dove Awards in the category of Best Album in Spanish. Now in 2009, the Bueno DVD is released as the video version of this second recording. Here we can enjoy the power and depth that distinguish Jacobo in his live performances.

He has also worked beside great musicians such as Claudina Brinn, Marcos Witt, Danilo Montero, Daniel Calveti, Aline Barros, Lourdes Toledo, Ricardo Rodriguez, Rene Gonzalez, Tercer Cielo, Coalo Zamorano, Marcos Barrientos and Ron Kenoly. His compositions are filled with sensibility, passion and joy, for this reason his songs were sung by acknowledged voices such as of Claudina Brinn, Danilo Montero, Chirstine D'Clario, Damaris Gonzalez, Migdalia Rivera and UnciOn Tropical.

In 2008 he was invited to sing with the famous Philharmonic of Puerto Rico Arturo Somohano. On that ocasion, The Philharmonic performed a version of "A Pesar de la Lluvia" ("Despite the Rain"), composed by Jacobo. "This experience was simply unforgettable", says Jacobo, "to see the most important musicians of my country performing a composition that was born in a moment of intimacy, just the presence of God, a guitar on the hand and a broken heart. Undoubtedly there are no limits for God."

Jacobo understands that each season of life can be used to impact the society in a positive way. This strong sense of social responsibility caused him to take part on many projects formed to impact prisons, schools, colleges, hospitals and other needy places.
Another facet of Jacobo's life is the one of a teacher and a conference speaker. In a dynamic, enthusiastic and practical way, his messages are remarkable. He often teaches at seminaries, leadership, youth, family, business and government courses and also praise congresses, in and out of the country.

Committed to take the message of restoration to many places, Jacobo decided to return to radio broadcasting, where he began his ministry. Now he shares a message of faith and hope for this troubled times of crisis we are living through the radio program "Despite the Rain", weekly on air at his hometown, Porto Rico.

Jacobo presents us his first book, equally named A Pesar de la Lluvia ("Despite the Rain"), released in May, 2009, originally published by Casa Creacion.
The writing of this book, full of hope and faith, invites us to change times of
sorrow into times of joy, bringing us courage to face times of hardships and
trouble.

In the future, Jacobo intends to start working on his third CD production, dedicate time helping in the spiritual growth of others and spend quality time with his family.
